I think books about philosophy become more interesting the more you read them, and they make you think a lot about yourself, which is good.
If I continue to ask and think about how I should live, won't I be able to see the path of my life?
As I read various philosophy books, I feel like I continue to learn how to live, act, and think.
The author's philosophy would like to define 'being human means helping others, reflecting on one's actions, having goals in one's life, and finding one's own answers.'
I would like to express my personal opinion on phrases that I consider important.
1. Let’s work while thinking.
When something goes wrong, we ask:
“Why do we do things this way?”
Then the person who worked that way answers.
“Because this is how it’s always worked.”
This means that you do not think when you work and that you are working according to unconscious habits.

When I saw this phrase, I also thought a lot.
Aren't you doing things this way simply because everyone else did it this way?
Is it possible to get the same answer by doing this unconditionally?
Couldn’t it be changed a little faster or in a better direction?
So, I started to change the way I did before little by little.
I am thinking about many things, such as changing if there is a better company than the company I originally contracted with, thinking about ways to further reduce costs, or thinking about how to do the things I have always done more conveniently.
If we keep repeating the same behavior just because it's convenient and because we're too lazy to do it again, wouldn't we just end up like an animal, even though humans are thinking animals?
Even though it's a hassle to buy your own items, why do you look around for cheaper places and waste money when you're working because you think it's not yours?
There is something my team leader always talks about.
“If you think about buying my stuff, will you live like this?”
I feel that I should think of the company's work as if it were my own work.
2. Media is just media.
Media has the greatest influence on modern people living in an overconnected society.
Modern people seem to accept watching highly rated television programs, following carefully selected news, and exchanging information that may be helpful in life as if it were a commandment.
But are these things really necessary?

Because the Internet has developed so much, we are being bombarded with a greater amount of data, lifestyles, communications, and media than ever before.
The modern world is one in which we can know immediately when something happens.
But are these things necessary in my life?
I don't watch YouTube.
Because if you look at it, it doesn’t really help my life.
Of course, sometimes I only use it when I need to find something or want to know something, and I don't want to waste time playing it continuously or watching it.
When obtaining information, do you need information in your life, is it information to show off your knowledge, is it information to criticize, is it information to follow, etc.
I think you need to think about why you watch media.
3. Before expecting something from your child, check yourself first.
Parents say:
I want my child to grow up well, but I don't actually show my child a good side.

As I am also a parent, I always hope that my child will grow up healthy and well.
However, a child is like a mirror of his or her parents, and from the child's perspective, it is the parents who are always looking at the child as he or she grows up.
Therefore, if parents want something from their children, let them show it through their actions first, because they watch, learn, and imitate all of their parents' actions.
If you want your child to grow up to read a lot, show them reading.
If you want your child to grow up to be good at studying, study together or show them studying.
If you want your child to grow up to be a good singer, let them sing or practice singing together.
The reason the story about human beggars is spreading among children is because adults say so.
The reason children know the types of foreign cars and differentiate between them is because adults tell them so.
In the end, children just follow their parents/adults around them, so should we blame them?
If a child grows up watching people throw away trash carelessly, he or she will also throw away trash carelessly.
Because I saw someone do it.
Therefore, if you want something for your child, first look at yourself.
When you plant beans, beans grow, and when you plant red beans, you grow red beans.
4. Listening is more important than speaking.
People ask to be heard, but we often mistake such requests for advice.
Moreover, the story we tell is likely to be the story we want to tell, not the story they want to hear.
It is not too late to do so after listening to what is said fully.
This is because the answer to the problem already exists in the speaker's mind.

This is the phrase my wife would like the most.
Isn’t this what empathy is?
It seems to be something that men especially need.
I think you should focus on listening to the story rather than giving them a solution.
Of course, it's still not working well, but we'll have to keep trying.
This seems to be the same in conversations with others.
Among the famous sayings of the Talmud, there is this saying:
'The fact that humans have one mouth and two ears means that we should listen twice as much as we speak.'
I, too, will continue to work hard to listen to and empathize with my wife, and I also always promise to practice listening more to others rather than just talking.
5. Let’s self-reflect and find my true value.
Money is like a bag with a hole in the bottom, and no matter how much you fill it, it never fills up.
Success is like a mountain peak with no end, no matter how much you climb, you cannot reach the top.
Love is like a flower that blooms for a season and then withers. Even if it blooms and blooms again, you cannot stop it from withering.
Money, success, and love are like fog that disappears just when we think we have caught them.
The only thing we can have forever is in our hearts.
Only the moral values that I consider beautiful will never leave my heart and fill me until the day I die.

Each person has different goals.
Someone wants money, success, business, victory, love, leader, etc.
Each person is acting with his or her own thoughts and goals, but it is a question that each person must think about whether it is truly necessary and valuable to me.
My primary goal is to ‘live without shame.’
As I had children, this goal became stronger.
I believe that only when I stand upright will my children, my wife, and my family move upright.
If I do something wrong, my family also does something wrong, and if I do something illegal, my family will also do something illegal.
I think my current life is to always explore, reflect, and work hard.
